$7 Secrets Version 2.7.2 Has Been Released

Hey, folks! $7 Secrets Version 2.7.2 of the scripts has been released. Here’s what you’ll find changed from version 2.7:

-> Admin panel image (adminlogo.png) is back in package.
-> Script version numbers are consistent between components and reflect the correct release.

Those two should be self-explanatory

-> Removed ability to collect Country / State / Zip code information.

Here’s the deal: this feature had some major problems, even in the 2.7.1 beta. Because the feature has dubious value (the script doesn’t even use this info to tell PayPal to charge shipping on physical products), I have decided not to spend time fixing the remaining bugs for this release. If you need this feature, tell me and I’ll consider adding it to a future release.

Why Ignoring Bouncebacks Can Ruin Your Email Success

If you use email, chances are you have seen a “bounceback” message in your inbox. You get one whenever you send an email to someone and then — for whatever reason — their server rejects the message.

The “bounceback” message usually contains the original email you sent, as well as an explanation as to why the message was rejected.

There are two types of bouncebacks you need to know about:

Type #1: Hard Bouncebacks

A hard bounceback occurs when you send a message to an email account that no longer exists. The account has been closed for some reason, so the mail server that hosted the account will send your message back, notifying you of this change.
