In an effort to provide you with more transparency and control
over the ads appearing on your pages, we’ve developed the Ad
Review Center. This new feature allows you to review ads
placement-targeted to your site and ensure those ads are relevant
to your site’s content and users. We’d like to take this
opportunity to introduce you to the Ad Review Center and answer
some basic questions you may have about this feature.

Placement targeting also increases auction competition and your
site’s revenue by allowing both contextually-targeted and
placement-targeted ads to compete in the auction. Additionally, if
you enable image ads, both text and image ads will compete in the
same auction. With more ads competing in the auction, more
advertisers will be bidding to display on your site, maximizing
your site’s revenue. To learn more about enabling image ads,

.

With the Ad Review Center, you gain greater control over the
placement-targeted ads appearing on your site, further ensuring
all ads are relevant to your site’s content. If you think an
irrelevant ad has shown on your site, you can prevent the ad from
appearing again by blocking it in the Ad Review Center. When you
block an ad, you’ll be prompted to select from a list your reason
for blocking. We’ll share this constructive feedback with
advertisers so they can use it to improve the relevance and
quality of future ad campaigns.

We recommend you carefully consider the revenue impact of blocking
an ad, since ads that are blocked won’t compete in the auction on
your site, and advertisers whose ads you block may choose not to
target your site again in the future. Furthermore, when you first
opt into the Ad Review Center, your settings will allow you to
review placement-targeted ads after they have run on your site. We
strongly recommend you keep your review preference set to the
default of ‘Run ads immediately’ and review ads after they have
run. For more information about the Ad Review Center, please read
our FAQ document
