I have a new update on the 1-70 guide available on the members area. The update date is incorrect but no longer shows unknown due to a server change a few months back. I finished making the starting zones meet up at 17 so that it’s much easier to level with and doesn’t have you in the Darnassus area for too long like it was before. This only seems to be a problem for warlocks as they cannot train at Exodar or Darnassus. I know there are still a few bugs in my guide. I’m talking about things being misnumbered. I forgot all about fixing some numbers that repeated and have already begun work on the 2.3 XP revisions. To get the new version login to your account at members.briankopp.com with whatever email and password you had set up. If you have forgotten your password please use the forgot password feature. If you haven’t logged in to the site for many months, like around the expansion release, your password is probably still your email. Patch 2.3 I want to make this announcement as I am getting a lot of emails asking me everyday about it. I know patch 2.3 is changing the xp rates. I’m on the PTR currently and I am in the mid twenties. No I will not tell you my name as I don’t want to be flooded with a ton of tells. I have already wiped out one area that I always hated and that is Stonetalon Mountains. I hope it gets even better at 30 when all the XP rates really get better. I heard along the lines of 2-4k more for some quests, and I think this was in the 30’s. I know for sure that Uldaman will no longer be in the guide and I’m sure everyone is happy about that. Rest assured that the updated 20-60 section will be ready by patch day of patch 2.3. I have also been asked when the patch will come out. I have no idea and neither does Blizzard. Their official answer for "
when will the patch go live?" is "when it’s ready" There is still a lot of bugs and they’re working on those while getting feedback for the new stuff. Probably the coolest new features they’ve added now is showing on your minimap what quests you can pick up. This is very nice. It shows a yellow ! on your minimap for quests that you can accept, a yellow ? for quests you can turn in, and a blue ? for repeatables. This really makes it easy to find quests that you’re trying to accept. The other cool feature is that you can track npc’s even if you’re not a hunter. In the spot where a hunter or profession tracker would show in the upper left of the minimap is an icon you can right click and set it to show you where various things are like repair people, ammo, food, auctioneers, etc. It’s really neat if you’re having trouble finding someone in an unfimiliar town or if you just don’t know. If you really want to see this stuff in action just go try out the PTR and start a new character. I have no idea when they will bring this expansion out and they have no idea when either. Just know that I will get into the beta and will work my hardest to ensure that when it is released there is a guide for 70-80
