Today were reading from Proverbs Chapter 31.Proverbs 31:1Â The words of King Lemuel, the burden that his mother taught him:
Proverbs 31:2Â What, my son? And what, the son of my womb? And what, the son of my vows?
Proverbs 31:3Â Do not give your strength to women, or your ways to that which wipes out kings.
Proverbs 31:4Â It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes to lust for fermented drink,
Proverbs 31:5Â that they not drink and forget what is decreed, and pervert the right of the sons of affliction.
Proverbs 31:6Â Give fermented drink to one perishing, and wine to the bitter of soul,
Proverbs 31:7Â let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Proverbs 31:8Â Open your mouth for the dumb, in the cause of all the sons of those passing away.
Proverbs 31:9Â Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the poor and needy.
Proverbs 31:10Â Who can find a woman of virtue? For her value is far above jewels.
Proverbs 31:11Â The heart of her husband trusts in her, so that he has no lack of gain.
Proverbs 31:12Â She deals good with him, and not evil, all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:13Â She seeks wool and flax, and she works with her hands with delight.
Proverbs 31:14Â She is like the merchant ships, she brings in her food from afar.
Proverbs 31:15Â She also rises while it is still night and gives game to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
Proverbs 31:16Â She has examined a field and takes it; she plants a vineyard from the fruit of her hands.
Proverbs 31:17Â She has girded her loins with strength, and has made her arms strong.
Proverbs 31:18Â She tastes whether her gain is good, her lamp is not put out by night.
Proverbs 31:19Â She has sent forth her hands on the distaff, and her hands have held the spindle.
Proverbs 31:20Â She spreads out her hands to the poor, yea, she stretches out her hands to the needy.
Proverbs 31:21Â She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Proverbs 31:22Â She makes herself ornamental coverings; her clothing is bleached linen and purple.
Proverbs 31:23Â Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits with the elders of the land.
Proverbs 31:24Â She makes fine linen garments, and sells, and she delivers girdles to the merchant.
Proverbs 31:25Â Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she shall rejoice at the day to come.
Proverbs 31:26Â She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the law of kindness is on her tongue.
Proverbs 31:27Â She watches the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:28Â Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, for he praises her:
Proverbs 31:29Â Many are the daughters who act with virtue, but you rise above them all!
Proverbs 31:30Â Grace may be deceitful, and beauty vain, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:31Â Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
