Today Pastor Leon talks about the bible being alive and how we need to fall in love with the Word of God. What falling in love with God’s Word will do for you and how it will change your life.
Hearing God’s Word brings salvation to people, how when were full of the Word of God, they holy spirit will anoint our words and our speech. We need to take the time to share God’s love with the people around us and share the miracles of God to those we love and know.
Gods Word causes you to know yourself. We try so hard to “find ourselves” if we just spend time with God and his word, we will “find ourselves”. In Hebrews 4:12 it states “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Gods Word will bring clarity to who we are and what were called or what the calling on our life is. Find your self with the Word of God.
Gods Word is seed to grow in our lives, as we spend time in the word of God, it chokes out the bad and issues in our life, and our life’s get better as the seed grows and we become stronger in our relationship with God, the Word of God sets us free. We need to be like David and run to the Word of God and stop running away from God. When we spend time in the word we will have the most exciting life, life without God is boring.
Gods Word washes you clean, life is full of stuff and we get bombarded with all the bad that is happening in the world today. Spending time with the Word of God and in church worshiping God, will wash the grime of the world off us. If we don’t get Gods Word to wash us clean, life will drag you down, and you wonder where God is in your life. Ephesians 5:26 & 27 “So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].”
Gods Word can be spoken and the worlds obey it, Jesus spoke and commanded the winds to cease, the physical world obeys the spoken Word of God. Everything bows to the Words of God. Psalms 103:20 “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.” Jesus teaches us use the spoken word of God to change our lives. Most Christians miss this, you must speak the Word of God over our lives, this alone could change your life in a positive way.
When you hear Gods Word it brings faith, its also brings a confidences that God wants whats the best for our lives. Hearing the Word of God will bring positive change into your life. God wants us to have success in every area of your life.
Knowing Gods Word will bring clarity and direction to your life, Gods Word will guide you in all you decisions no matter how big or small they are. Knowing Gods Word brings excitement into your life. Ephesians 3:20Â Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]-. Stop being the arm chair quarterback, live life the the fullest.
We must speak Gods Word to the world, the written word is important, but the spoken word is what will reach the world. If you love someone you will have joy and excitement when you talk about them, you will be free of the typical canned “Christian” responses when you talk to people and you will be full of the love of God. To many Christians try to explain God without love and passion, this will get you know where.
Fall back in love with the Word of God, daily spend time in the word of God, Start with just five minutes if thats all you have, if you have more time spend more time in the Word of God. I would recommend that you spend at least 20-60 minutes a day reading the bible, that may seem like a lot, but most of us will watch tv for hours, what a waste of life. Get back into the bible, get closer to God and what your life be forever changed.
