Run Secunia’s Software Inspector to catch missing application patches. Third-party applications, especially media players, are more likely to suffer from security holes than Windows itself is. The security firm Secunia.com offers a free scan, informing you when your PC is running an insecure version of an application that has a security patch available.

Here is the step where you will scan and if needed remove the Conficker Worm from your PC.
Run a standalone Conficker removal tool Malwarebytes Anti-Malware http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ .
You will need to download, install and run a scan of your computer, remove any files or traces of malware found.

Here we are at the second step to securing your computer against the Conficker worm.
Update your Anti Virus/Security Software. Having the latest antivirus signatures will help eradicate Conficker and other malware that may be lurking on your PC. Use your security software’s menu to manually update to the latest defenses.

The Conficker Worm will start looking for instruction on April 1st. No one really knows what will happen on that day. But i will help you to make sure you are protected and your pc is clean
The first step to remove the Conficker Worm is to Run Windows/Microsoft Update. http://update.microsoft.com/ do ALL high priorities or all updates. Internet Explorer is required.
This will ensure that your computer is properly protected against the conficker worm and many other security threats.
